The refurbishment and extension of this semi-detached property was made for a cinematographer and a musician (with a keen interest in gardening), for whom both originality and the zoning of space were paramount. The unusual layout of the existing building meant that careful planning and meticulous drawings had to be made in order to accommodate the multi-use purpose of this large family home.
As in the previous project, an extension was created, nearly doubling the area of the house and opening up the space to a landscaped, sunken garden. Retracting roofs opened the house to the sky, further blurring the lines between interior and exterior. Particular attention was paid to energy conservation, allowing us to explore further the use of LED lighting in the different spaces dedicated to entertainment, music, sleep and rest.
